Probio Plus.

Multi-strain probiotic and enzyme formula. Restores gut health, improves feed conversion, reduces digestive upsets.

Available Sizes
10 x 20 gm

Probio Plus combines five live probiotic strains with a digestive enzyme complex to colonise the gut with beneficial bacteria, crowd out pathogens, and improve nutrient digestion. Suitable for cattle, poultry, and small ruminants. Most effective after antibiotic treatment, during disease recovery, or in young animals establishing their gut flora.

Why farmers ask for it

5 reasons farmers ask for Probio Plus.

  1. Establishes healthy gut flora from day one.

Newly hatched chicks and newborn calves lack established gut microbiota. Early supplementation with Probio Plus colonises the intestinal tract with beneficial Lactobacillus and Bacillus strains before pathogenic bacteria can take hold, reducing early mortality and digestive scour.

  2. Restores gut health after antibiotic treatment.

Broad-spectrum antibiotics eliminate both pathogenic and beneficial bacteria. Probio Plus re-establishes the microbial population rapidly after a treatment course, shortening the period of reduced feed intake and weight loss that typically follows antibiotic therapy.

  3. Improves feed conversion through enzyme activity.

The protease, amylase, and cellulase complex in Probio Plus breaks down feed components that animals cannot digest on their own — particularly fibrous local feed ingredients such as rice bran and wheat bran. This increases digestible energy yield per kg of feed.

  4. Reduces incidence of non-specific diarrhoea.

Competitive exclusion — where beneficial organisms occupy binding sites in the gut mucosa — limits the attachment of E. coli and Clostridium species responsible for non-specific diarrhoea in young stock. Regular supplementation reduces both the frequency and severity of digestive upsets.

  5. No withdrawal period required.

Probio Plus contains no antibiotic residues or synthetic growth promotants. It can be used throughout the production cycle, including in the days before slaughter, without any mandatory withdrawal period.

How we engineered it

Format, composition, shelf life.

  • Form

    Water-dispersible powder

Fine powder that disperses fully in drinking water within two minutes. Can also be mixed directly into feed at the specified rate. No binders or excipients that reduce probiotic viability.

  • Viability

    10⁹ CFU/g guaranteed at manufacture

Each gram of Probio Plus contains a minimum of 10⁹ colony-forming units (CFU) at the time of manufacture, formulated to maintain ≥10⁷ CFU/g through the end of shelf life under recommended storage conditions.

  • Pack

    Foil-lined sealed pouches

Available in 100 g, 500 g, and 1 kg foil-lined pouches. Foil barrier prevents moisture and UV degradation that rapidly reduces probiotic viability. Reseal immediately after use.

When to use it

Real situations, real answers.

  • Chick placement and early brooding (day 1–7)

Add Probio Plus to drinking water from day one of placement. This is the highest-value window for establishing gut microbiota before enteric pathogens can colonise. Use continuously for the first 7 days.

  • Post-antibiotic recovery

Begin Probio Plus the day after completing an antibiotic course. Use for a minimum of 7 consecutive days. Do not administer simultaneously with antibiotics in the same water source, as antibiotics will reduce probiotic viability.

  • Routine gut health maintenance in adult cattle

Add to drinking water or mix into total mixed ration (TMR) for 7 consecutive days each month. Particularly valuable for dairy cows during early lactation when feed intake is low and metabolic stress is high.

  • Small ruminants during weaning and transport stress

Kids and lambs are highly susceptible to digestive scour during weaning. Use Probio Plus from three days before weaning through seven days after. Also effective before and after transport to reduce transit stress diarrhoea.

Dosage

How to use.

Dosage

Animal / stage Instruction
Broilers and layers 1 g per 2 litres of drinking water (0.5 g/L). Use for 7 consecutive days after placement, after antibiotic treatment, or as a routine 5-day-per-month programme.
Cattle and buffalo (adult) 5–10 g per animal per day mixed into drinking water or TMR. Use for 7 consecutive days each month or after any antibiotic course.
Calves (under 3 months) 2–3 g per calf per day mixed into milk replacer or water. Use daily from birth through 60 days of age for best gut development outcomes.
Goats and sheep 2 g per animal per day. Mix into drinking water or sprinkle on feed. Use for 7 consecutive days per month or after stress events.

Probio Plus — common questions.

From dosing to storage to who it's right for — answered straight.

  1. Can I use Probio Plus at the same time as an antibiotic course?

No — administer them separately. Antibiotics will kill live probiotic organisms in the same water source. Complete the antibiotic course first, then begin Probio Plus the following day to re-establish gut flora.

  2. How should I store Probio Plus to maintain probiotic viability?

Store in a cool, dry location below 25°C, away from direct sunlight. Once opened, reseal the foil pouch tightly and use within 30 days. Do not store near heat sources such as gas brooding equipment.

  3. Will mixing Probio Plus with warm water kill the probiotics?

Water above 45°C will reduce probiotic viability. Use ambient-temperature or slightly cool water when preparing the drinking solution. In hot months, prepare fresh solution twice daily rather than leaving it in the tank all day.

  4. Can I use Probio Plus alongside coccidiostats or other water medications?

Yes — Probio Plus is compatible with coccidiostats and most vitamins in water. Use separate water tanks if you need to maintain precise dosing of either product, but there is no known adverse interaction.
