Vitadex.

Fat-soluble and B-complex multi-vitamin for livestock and poultry — for periods when feed alone falls short.

Available Sizes
500 ml bottle 1 litre bottle 5 litre container

Vitadex is a comprehensive multi-vitamin concentrate supplying all four fat-soluble vitamins (A, D3, E, K3) plus the full B-complex through drinking water. Corrects vitamin deficiencies during disease, high production, limited access to fresh forage, or periods of nutritional stress across cattle, poultry, and small ruminants.

Why farmers ask for it

5 reasons farmers ask for Vitadex.

  1. Vitamin A corrects night blindness and supports mucosal immunity.

Vitamin A deficiency is widespread in Bangladesh's dry season when green forage is scarce and cattle rely on stored rice straw. Signs include night blindness, rough coat, and increased susceptibility to respiratory infections. A single 7-day course of Vitadex rapidly restores liver reserves.

  2. Vitamin D3 supports bone mineralisation and calcium absorption.

Housed poultry and stall-fed cattle receive limited UV exposure, which is required for endogenous vitamin D synthesis. Deficiency leads to rickets in young animals, soft-shelled eggs in layers, and milk fever risk in periparturient cows. Vitadex provides cholecalciferol (D3) — the active form for livestock.

  3. Vitamin E and selenium synergy for muscle health.

Vitamin E works with selenium as the primary antioxidant defence in muscle tissue. Deficiency causes white muscle disease in calves and lambs and exudative diathesis in poultry. Vitadex supplies vitamin E at levels that protect muscle integrity during rapid growth and high-output production.

  4. Vitamin K3 supports blood clotting and bone metabolism.

Mycotoxin exposure — common in stored grains and feed in Bangladesh's humid climate — can antagonise vitamin K activity, increasing bleeding tendency. Vitadex provides menadione (K3) to maintain normal coagulation, particularly in growing poultry on stored-grain diets.

  5. Full B-complex supports the nervous system and metabolic rate.

B-vitamins cannot be stored in significant quantities and must be replenished frequently from diet or supplementation. The full B-complex in Vitadex supports energy metabolism, nervous system function, red blood cell production, and skin and feather integrity across all life stages.

How we engineered it

Format, composition, shelf life.

  • Form

    Concentrated liquid

Oil-in-water emulsion carrying fat-soluble vitamins (A, D3, E, K) in a stabilised suspension alongside water-soluble B-vitamins. Shake well before each use to ensure uniform distribution of fat-soluble components.

  • Stability

Stable in water for 8 hours

Prepared water solution should be used within 8 hours. Fat-soluble vitamins degrade faster in solution than water-soluble vitamins. Prepare fresh solution twice daily in very hot weather.

  • Pack

    Amber HDPE bottles

Amber glass-equivalent HDPE bottles protect light-sensitive vitamins A, D3, and riboflavin. Available in 500 ml and 1 litre sizes. Tamper-evident seal confirms product integrity on opening.

When to use it

Real situations, real answers.

  • Disease outbreak — immediate vitamin support

During any respiratory, enteric, or systemic disease event, the animal's demand for vitamins A, C, and E increases sharply while feed intake drops. Start Vitadex immediately at the beginning of a disease event and continue for 7 days after clinical recovery.

  • Dry-season routine supplementation in cattle

October through March, when green forage is unavailable and cattle are fed stored rice straw, administer Vitadex for 7 consecutive days each month to maintain liver vitamin A and D3 reserves.

  • Pre- and post-lay supplementation in layers

Four weeks before the start of lay and during the first four weeks of production, use Vitadex to ensure laying hens enter production with adequate reserves of vitamin A (for yolk quality), D3 (for shell gland function), and E (for hatchability in breeders).

  • Calf and kid colostrum quality programme

Vitamin A and E transfer to calves via colostrum. Supplementing the dam with Vitadex in the final 14 days of pregnancy improves colostrum vitamin content and passive immunity transfer to the newborn.

Dosage

How to use.

Dosage

Animal / stage Instruction
Broilers and layers 0.5–1 ml per litre of drinking water. Use for 5–7 consecutive days. Repeat monthly during routine programmes or as directed after a disease event.
Breeders 1 ml per litre of drinking water. Use for 7 consecutive days per month throughout the breeding season to support egg fertility and hatchability.
Cattle and buffalo (adult) 10–15 ml per animal per day mixed into drinking water. Use for 7 consecutive days each month. Double the dose for 5 days at the start of any disease event.
Calves (under 6 months) 3–5 ml per calf per day mixed into water or milk replacer. Use for 7 consecutive days per month from birth through weaning.
Goats and sheep 2–3 ml per animal per day mixed into drinking water. Use for 7 consecutive days per month or during and after disease events.

Vitadex — common questions.

From dosing to storage to who it's right for — answered straight.

  1. Can vitamin A overdose occur with Vitadex?

Vitamin A toxicity is possible with sustained very high dosing, but rare at the recommended rates. Do not exceed the stated dose or extend a course beyond 14 consecutive days without a veterinarian's guidance. At the recommended dose of 0.5–1 ml/L, broilers receive approximately 5,000–10,000 IU/L — within established safe ranges.

  2. Can I use Vitadex and Zeal Boost together?

Yes — they complement each other. Vitadex covers fat-soluble vitamins (A, D3, E, K) and a supporting B-complex; Zeal Boost provides a deeper B-vitamin and trace mineral dose. The most practical approach is to alternate them on different days rather than mixing in the same tank.

  3. Is Vitadex suitable for use in organic or antibiotic-free programmes?

Yes. Vitadex contains no antibiotics, hormones, or synthetic growth promotants. It is a straight vitamin preparation and does not affect antibiotic-free or residue-free status.

  4. How do I know if my flock or herd has a vitamin deficiency?

Common signs by category: Vitamin A deficiency — watery eyes, night blindness, increased respiratory infections. Vitamin D deficiency — soft shells in layers, leg weakness or rickets in young stock. Vitamin E deficiency — sudden death or muscular weakness in young animals. A veterinarian can confirm deficiency with serum sampling if clinical signs are ambiguous.
